Flame-retardant wallpaper can be mainly divided into the following categories based on the base material and flame-retardant technology:

Asbestos paper-based flame-retardant wallpaper: Uses asbestos paper as the base material, with flame retardants added to the PVC coating material. It has a high ignition point and excellent flame-retardant properties, suitable for building environments with high fire safety requirements.

Glass fiber-based flame-retardant wallpaper: Uses glass fiber fabric as the base material, with a surface coated with PVC resin and added flame retardants. It combines water resistance and flame-retardant functions, and is often used in damp areas such as bathrooms and showers.

Non-woven fabric-based flame-retardant wallpaper: Uses non-woven fabric as the base material, achieving fire resistance through flame-retardant treatment. It has a high ignition point (e.g., approximately 295-297℃) when burning and is environmentally friendly.

Ordinary PVC-based flame-retardant wallpaper: Based on paper or non-woven fabric, with a surface coated with PVC resin and added flame retardants. It is manufactured through calendering or coating processes and is suitable for general indoor environments.

Foamed flame-retardant wallpaper: A type of PVC wallpaper, which forms a textured surface through a foaming process, providing both sound absorption and flame-retardant properties.

In addition, flame-retardant wallpaper can be further subdivided by function, such as mildew-proof, antibacterial, and anti-static types, but these are mostly additional functions rather than independent classifications.
